The Guardian is one of my favorites pieces. His pride and strength are boldly demonstrated in the arrangement of his posture. His heart shaped face embodies his deep emotional union with love. The dagger on his right side represents his devotion to guard against wickedness. He is authoritative, strong, capable, and brave. When called upon he never falters. The sense of duty powerfully surges through him and radiates outward. He feels the powerful spiritul energy flowing through every ounce of his being as he fulfills his commitment to protect and shelter those in need. He exists only for this difvine purpose. He vigorously rejects defeat in the face of evil until he ultimately becomes victorious. Once victorious he humbly alters his warrior state and rejuvenates calmly, silently and lovingly through the potent energy of love and the power of peace and tranquility. This painting reminds us that there are times it may be necessary to be a warrior. In such a state it is tremendously important to be aware of what we are in a state of war for? Are we at war to protect and shelter those most in need? Are our spirits in union with love? Are we fighting destruction and wickedness? or are we wickedly fighting and being distructive? Sometimes times we are misguided people but we mean well. Can we be loving and at war at the same time? The Guardian ignites these questions in me. I hope it ignites them in you as well as we can contemplate them together but ultimately we can only answer these questions for ourselves.
